Posted in Illinois |“Five years ago, I would have laughed if someone told me about rehab. Even if it was rehab for alcoholics - I would still have a nice laugh. I was a leisure man that enjoyed a beer or two before I went to bed. That was five years ago.
Now a days, I developed a taste for wine and it seems I drink a bottle of Cabernet every night of the week. Sometimes Chardonnay. Or a shiraz is another type of red I enjoy. Anyways, I can’t sleep otherwise. This is not good! My wife doesn’t like it, so this forces me to drink alone. I have some friends that I dine with frequently. They look at me foolishly when I down a bottle of wine. I never use to do this, but since I gave up smoking - its either food or alchohol.
Well long story short. I think I have a problem. I think I am going to take work leave and check myself into rehab. They have some nice facilities these days. Almost like resorts. I can’t wait really. Rehab can be fun. Alcohol just revolves around my life too much and I need a break.”
